At the “La Caixa” Foundation we believe in people, in their ability to grow, work and overcome adversity. We believe in education, culture and research as engines of progress. We believe in a society with more opportunities. We believe in a better future for all and we work on thousands of projects to build it.
In collaboration with hundreds of entities and thousands of volunteers, we carry out a joint work to fight against poverty and exclusion, promote medical research of excellence, make culture available to all and improve the education of today's children and in the morning.
At Biogen, our mission is clear: we are pioneers in neuroscience. Biogen discovers, develops and supplies innovative therapies globally for people living with severe neurological and neurodegenerative diseases, as well as related adjacent therapies. Biogen, one of the world's first biotech companies, was founded in 1978 by Charles Weissmann, Heinz Schaller, Kenneth Murray, and Nobel Prize winners Walter Gilbert and Phillip Sharp.

II International Congress of the ALS Community
The Luzón Foundation’s
mission is to improve the quality of life of ALS patients and their
families by enhancing their social and health care quality and research
promotion. To achieve this, the Foundation encourages the creation and
dynamization of a National and International ALS Community in which the
patient and his family are the centre of its activity and in which all
the agents involved are aligned and cohesive in their action:
researchers and research entities, health centres and administrations of
the health field, personnel and administrations of the social field,
innovators, industry and media. The Luzón Foundation organizes the II
International Congress of the ALS Community (CincELA 2021) where we will
have the participation of national and international experts from the
field of research, healthcare and clinic with the aim of giving
visibility to the disease, improving care and promoting research.
CincELA is a high-level summit where scientists, researchers, patients and families, the pharmaceutical industry and journalists will meet. This congress represents a forum and a meeting place to share the best and most innovative practices at a global level, as well as a space to reflect, discuss and collectively agree on the challenges we face.
